Day 3 (9 Nov 07, Fri)

We decided to go to Siam Square to shop a bit before proceeding to Chinatown.

Took this shot while on the way to Siam Sq

Didn't take any pics while in Siam Square.. forgot to take my camera out.. =p

We went to take the BTS to Saphan Taksin at 45 baht (1.95 sgd) then take a river boat to Chinatown.

Can u see my nailart? Haha. Not to digress, the boat cost 18 baht (0.80 sgd) per pax.

We walked a bit and found sum peng lane. This should be it..

We had a simple lunch fare of bee hoon soup at 45 baht each (1.95 sgd). Then i bought sweet corn at only 20 baht (0.80 sgd). But guess wat, the auntie added condensed milk to it, which makes it so sweet for us!!

After shopping for some accessories, we also went to Yao Wa Rat to get some dried products, such as 'gao sai' and cuttlefish. Then we went back to hotel via cab at 5 plus. It was a wrong time to take cab, as most cabs weren't willing to go by meter. Finally found 1 willing to take us. Trip cost 70 baht (4 sgd)

This is our early dinner. Bought all these at Chinatown. I love the Fried Carrot Cake the best (with beansprouts!).

My buys at Siam Square

My buys at Chinatown - Hair Accessories at less than 1 baht each, earrings (for gifts) at 48 baht for 12pcs, bag at 250 baht, earring stand at 250 baht.

After a hearty dinner and rest, we proceeded to Siam Paragon. Main purpose is to visit Ocean World. But the entrance fee is too ex so we decided just to walk around..

Walked by Siam Discovery..

Took this along the way to hotel

Along the way, we decided to get some food for supper again!

Pad Thai - 35 baht (1.5+ sgd)

Wanton Mee - 30 baht (1.3 sgd)

Fried Rice & Tom Yam Soup bought at the seafood restaurant along the road to our hotel. (Total abt 200 baht - 8.70 sgd)I love the fried rice and tom yam soup the most. The soup was sour and spicy and the fried rice have crab meat!

My souvenirs from Ocean World, though we didn't went in! =p

After supper, we went to have a foot massage at the massage place just below the hotel. This place looks like it has a lot of customers from the hotel! It cost 200 baht including a shoulder massage.

Day 4 (10 Nov 07, Sat)

It was the last day. We couldn't negotiate for a late check-out. So we decided to set off late in the morning, check out and leave our luggage at the counter and then to Chatuchak Weekend Market. By cab cost 100+ because of expressway toll fee.

We had brunch here, and ordered glass noodles (tang hoon) at 35 baht each (1.5+ sgd)

His was with pork meat

And mine was seafood.

In the end, saw that this was actually their soup and we treated them as main dish!

Kawaii doggies spotted!

I love this spring rolls the best. Very crispy! Glass noodles & mixed Vege + Curry. Forgotten the price though..

Simply love their squids!

Total meat cost only 230 baht (10 sgd), including 1 bottle of coke!

We finally made our way back to hotel and took cab to the Airport liao! The Airport is really beautiful!

Day 1 (7 Nov 07, Wed)
It was 4 plus in the morning, and i was forced to get out of bed to rush to the Airport to catch our 7am flight to BKK! Der's parents were kind to drive us there. We checked in, after a long queue. Der's parents said wanted to eat breakfast at the Airport as they said meals in the plane (Jetstar) were ex. It was already 6.15am. Der & I gobbled everything up in less than 10 min.

We realised our seats were seperated. He was seating behind. But the good thing was both of us had window seats. We don't have to fight. Haha.

Not sure where is this? But it must be part of Thailand. =p

While waiting for our baggage..

It was only 10 plus when we arrived at Samran Hotel! And we were told no king sized bed, so we were forced to go out and come back at a later time!

We walked a bit to near Asia Hotel, as we were a bit lost how to get to MBK. A tuk tuk driver coerced us to take his tuk tuk to MBK for 20 baht (0.80+ sgd). In the end, he drove us to a gems factory. I kept nagging at Der why he was so foolish to take this Tuk Tuk! We quickly made a quick exit at the gems factory. The driver then finally took us to MBK!

While in the Tuk Tuk

MBK

Saw Dunkin Donuts and we bought a few donuts to fill our hunger for less than 100 baht (less than 5 sgd). In the end, we didn't finish the donuts. =p

Found Mr Meng and we had a cheap and yummy lunch for 100+ baht (less than 10 sgd)

We didn't managed to shop a lot as were both shagged from the lack of sleep. We went to Plaza 29 which was linked from Level 2, Watsons to do my nailart. We walked back to the hotel after that.

While walking back

Loved our hotel room, it was big, spacious, clean and come with a bathtub!

My buys at MBK (Din buy a lot)

Souvenirs for my nieces

My nailart at Plaza 29. Cost 250 baht! (12 sgd)

After a power nap, we went out for seafood dinner near Samran Place.

Fried omelette (Very yummy, not oily at all)

Tom Yam Soup (Sour & Spicy, yummy)

Fried Squid (yummy)

Steamed Seabass (i think it was yummy, but Der said otherwise)
Total cost $400++ baht ($20++ sgd)

Anyway we had a full dinner and we proceeded to Suan Lum Night Bazaar! Took cab and only cost 61 baht ($2.65 sgd) despite the traffic jam.

pretty hor?

Saw a mini concert, but in Thai.. but very happening..

Took a cab and Der was again coerced for 100 baht (4+ sgd)! i nagged at him, as usual!

While at Isetan, i found PL's ELLE wallet!

Saw another statue outside central world, we prayed again.

Saw Pratunam Market, while on the way to Platinum Mall..

Platinum Mall

Had KFC for lunch instead of the food court, coz there's a lot of people. And Thais used cutlery to eat the Fried Chicken, which was very hygienic. The meat is very tender and fresh unlike SG!

After that, we proceeded to Pratunam Market & Center. However, i couldn't get anything there at all..

Can u see the rows of shops along Pratunam Market?

We walked back to hotel and bought streetside snacks.. Fried Oyster for 35 baht (Less than 2 sgd)

Fried oyster but i don't like it with beansprouts...

Our dinner.. i loved the durian. Very nice! Forgotten the price though but was cheap! ETA: Der said it cost 60 baht (sgd 2.60)

Afraid not enough, we ordered fried rice for room service. Gave the staff 120 baht.. (it was 110 baht) (4+ sgd) and she din come back with our change already.. haha

After a rest, we went to Memorial Night Bridge, cost 65 baht (slightly more than 2 sgd)

Didn't really like this place coz it was so crowded & squeezy.

Took cab back cost more ex.. about 75 baht (more than 3 sgd)

Our supper - Loved the crackers & quail eggs, don't like the 'white kuay'. In the end, we realised it was squid eggs.. *puke*
